Welcome!

The New Jersey Amateur Racquetball Association (NJAR) is an organization dedicated to promoting racquetball as a lifetime sport. Our members include kids, former kids, men, women, tournament, recreational and beginning players of all ages. We sponsor several tournaments a year as well as a variety of non-tournament events such as Ladies’ Day and charity fund-raisers. Our tournaments are USA Racquetball (USAR) approved and count towards the USAR player ranking system. Tournament play is a great way to compete against some of the best men, women and junior players in New Jersey and surrounding states and to have a great time with old and new friends. Our focus is fun, sportsmanship, and--of course--racquetball. Please contact any of the NJAR Board Members for more information.

Volunteers and Board Members Needed

New NJAR President: Glenn Stephenson

The NJAR Board is pleased to announce the ascension of Glenn Stephenson to the position of NJAR President. Glenn will also continue to serve as our Outdoor Program Director. Glenn is a veteran of the New Jersey racquetball scene and has been serving on the NJAR Board as our Outdoor Program Director. Glenn is an exceptional player in both indoor and outdoor racquetball and competes regularly in our sanctioned tournaments. The NJAR Board thanks Glenn for accepting this very critical position and offers its complete support. We are sure Glenn has many new and exciting ideas to make New Jersey the best state for racquetball players and the NJAR the premier organization for area racquetball enthusiasts.

Retiring NJAR President: Joe Camiolo

The Board also wants to express it’s appreciation on behalf of all area racquetball players for the endless efforts of our outgoing President, Joe Camiolo. Joe has served as our President for an extended period of time, contributing an inordinate amount of time and energy to every NJAR initiative from our various player tournaments to charity fund raising and more. Joe has been a fixture at every sanctioned tournament and has been the “go-to” guy to keep the events moving and focused on the game he loves so much. Joe will work with our new board President, Glenn Stephenson, to effect a smooth transition. We wish Joe the best in his future endeavors and hope he will remain a big part of the New Jersey racquetball scene for years to come.
