The NJAR and LA Fitness - North Brunswick, NJ co-sponsor this ladies-only program. This program encourages women of all ages to learn more about the sport and to get the opportunity to play with other ladies from clubs in the tri-state area.This is a day of instruction for new players, and clinics and playing tips are available for more seasoned competitors. Singles and doubles play brings out the camaraderie amongst friends and the opportunity to develop new racquetball friendships. Speed gun and trivia contests get everyone’s competitive juices flowing, and who doesn’t enjoy winning that box of Godiva Chocolates, Victoria’s Secret goodies, or other awesome gifts? Ladies’ Day 2019 - Fall Edition
On October 20, 2019 LA Fitness and the New Jersey Amateur Racquetball Association (NJAR) were happy to host Ladies’ Day, a day full of racquetball fun and games for ladies of all ages and skill levels. Thanks to all who attended and a very special welcome to our very special “newbies” who attended the event.
Ladies’ Day 2017 - Fall Edition
On October 22, 2017 The Club at Woodbridge and the New Jersey Amateur Racquetball Association (NJAR) were happy to host Ladies’ Day, a day full of racquetball fun and games for ladies of all ages and skill levels. Thanks to all who attended and a very special welcome to Madison and Skye, newbies to the games. Friendly games of singles and doubles were played throughout the afternoon, and an informal backhand clinic was held. After playing for some time a brief break was taken to fuel up (lunch courtesy of the New Jersey Amateur Racquetball Association) for more playing. Towards the end we had a Q&A session where the ladies were able to win prizes and included some interesting questions/facts about women, including: Men average 7,000 words a day; how many word do women use during that same time period? [See answer.]The time went by too quickly leaving us all wanting more time to play. We are all looking forward to the next Ladies’ Day event!We are grateful that The Club graciously offered their courts for Ladies Day, and want to thank an annoymous sponsor who provided Victoria’s Secret products as prizes for our Q&A session. On October 16th The Club at Woodbridge and NJAR were happy to host Ladies’ Day, a day full of racquetball fun. It was great seeing newbies who have never played before joining us for this event. The beginners were taught the basics of how to hit the ball and afterwards began a beginner's game of racquetball. Those familiar with the game had plenty of opportunities to play singles and doubles. After playing for some time a brief break was taken to fuel up for more playing. Towards the end we had a Q&A session where the ladies were able to win door prizes. Thanks go out to our sponsors, E-Force, Head and Ektelon, who provided the door prizes.The time went by too quickly leaving us wanting more time to play.
