The New Jersey Amateur Racquetball Association (NJAR) is an organization dedicated to promoting racquetball as a lifetime sport. Our members include kids, former kids, men, women, tournament, recreational and beginning players of all ages. We sponsor several tournaments a year as well as a variety of non-tournament events such as Ladies’ Dayand charity fund-raisers. Our tournaments are USA Racquetball (USAR) approved and count towards the USAR player ranking system. Tournament play is a great way to compete against some of the best men, women and junior players in New Jersey and surrounding states and to have a great time with old and new friends. Our focus is fun, sportsmanship, and--of course--racquetball. Please contact any of the NJAR Board Members for more information.

Central to that goal is ensuring everyone understands and adheres to the New Jersey Amateur Racquetball Association (NJAR) Code of Conduct. Scarlet Knights Shootout - April 1, 2023
The Scarlet Knights Shootout, held on April 1st at the Sonny Werblin Rec Center, was a
one-day event organized to support the Rutgers University Racquetball team. The
tournament featured both singles and doubles categories, and we are pleased to
announce the winners.
•
In the Singles Open category, Willie Martinez secured the first place while Ryan
Muench took the second spot.
•
Bhaskar Devariya won the Singles A category, followed by Willie Martinez at second
place.
•
Stephen Argentina clinched the Singles B category, with William Puswald finishing
second.
•
James Greenspan emerged victorious in the Singles C category, with Michael
Charity taking the second spot.
•
In the Doubles Mens A/B category, Bhaskar Devariya and Ira Gordon won first place,
with Ryan Muench and Angel Torres finishing second.
•
In the Doubles Mens A/B Consolation category, Nancy Luyando and Steve Giudice
secured the first position.
Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to all the participants who made this
event a success. We were thrilled to see everyone back on the courts after such a long
break. We are now looking forward to preparing for the new racquetball season in the
fall.

The Garden State Open was a huge success with over seventy (70) players competing in various divisions, including two Women’s Divisions! See our dedicated Recent Results page for a recap of the event results.
Ladies Day - Sunday October 20, 2019
The Fall 2019 Edition of our popular Ladies’ Day event was held 10-20-2019 at LA Fitness in North Brunswick, NJ. The event was attended by over twenty participants of all skill levels and everyone had a great time. See our dedicated Ladies’ Day page for more information and photos.
